Work on what matters most.
Meridian is a hub in Cambridge for people working on some of the most important challenges of our time — from making AI systems safe and beneficial, to reducing the risks of future pandemics. We’re a small, ambitious team supporting a community of researchers, technologists, and founders focused on safeguarding the future.
Open Roles
-
Director of Finance & Operations
We've scaled rapidly to manage approximately £4M in funding from government bodies, research councils, and major philanthropic organisations, and we need someone to build the operational foundation that supports our continued growth.
You'll have decision-making authority across grant compliance, contract negotiations, fiscal sponsorship arrangements, and strategic operational planning. This is a senior executive role designed to grow with the organization — you'll be building systems from the ground up and shaping how we operate as we scale our work in AI safety and biosecurity.
-
Technical AI Safety Programme Manager
We're looking for a Technical AI Safety Programme Manager to join our team — building and delivering technical AI safety workshops, fellowships, and educational programming primarily for Cambridge and the London region.
You'll design curriculum, facilitate workshops, and manage educational programs that connect students and professionals to AI safety careers. This role combines technical content development with program management, requiring both AI safety knowledge and strong facilitation and execution skills.

General Expression of Interest
As we expand, we’re always looking to hire good people. Even if there’s not the perfect role yet, we'd still love to hear from you.
If you're excited about Meridian's mission — whether that's technical AI safety, biosecurity, operations, community-building, or something we haven’t thought of yet — we want to know.
We review expressions of interest on a rolling basis and will get in touch if there's a role (current or future) that seems like a good fit.
